Question 1

How much does sofa, mattress or carpet cleaning cost in Riga?

Accepted Answer

Sofa cleaning starts from €45 for a straight sofa and from €48 for a corner sofa (large corner €58, U-shaped €65). Mattress cleaning from €35 (single) or €43 (double). Carpets from €10/m², minimum order €45. Every service includes a free home visit anywhere in Riga and within 70 km — Jūrmala, Mārupe, Ādaži, Salaspils, Ogre, Jelgava. The price covers full equipment setup, fabric assessment, hot water extraction at 70°C, enzyme stain pre-treatment, and express drying with an industrial turbofan. Optional add-ons: enzyme treatment for pet urine or strong odours +€5, protective fabric coating against future stains +€10. Payment is made only after you inspect the result and approve the work. We accept cash, bank card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and bank transfer. Invoices issued for businesses on request.

Question 2

Is professional cleaning safe for children, pregnant women and pets?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this is our most frequently asked question. BestClean uses only Chemspec (USA) professional eco-chemistry: pH-neutral, hypoallergenic, certified for use in children's rooms and medical facilities. After the hot water extraction process, no harmful residues remain in the fabric — the formula is completely removed along with the dirty water. The 70°C temperature during cleaning kills 99% of bacteria, dust mite eggs and mould spores on contact. 80% of our clients are families with young children and pets. Pregnant women book us every day — particularly in the final weeks before birth for a deep clean of the sofa and mattress. After the fabric dries (4–6 hours for sofas, 2–3 hours for mattresses), children and pets can return to the furniture with no restrictions.

Question 3

Do you remove cat or dog urine odour from sofas and mattresses?

Accepted Answer

Yes, and this is one of our most requested services. The key difference: household products — baking soda, vinegar, pet-store sprays — only mask the smell. They cannot break down uric acid crystals embedded in fabric fibres, which are the actual source of the persistent odour. Our process is different. First, we use UV light to locate all affected spots, including old stains invisible to the naked eye. Then Chemspec enzyme solution is applied directly for 15–20 minutes to molecularly decompose the uric acid. Finally, hot water extraction at 70°C flushes all the broken-down compounds out of the fabric entirely. The result is permanent odour elimination, not a temporary cover-up — even on stains that have been there for months or years. Enzyme treatment available as an add-on for +€5.

Question 4

Does professional cleaning eliminate dust mites and help with allergies?

Accepted Answer

Yes, and this is one of the most health-significant results of a professional clean. Dust mites — microscopic organisms living in sofa upholstery, mattresses and carpets — are the leading cause of year-round indoor allergies and one of the primary triggers of childhood asthma. Standard vacuuming only removes surface-level mites; eggs and allergens remain embedded deep in the fibres. Hot water extraction at 70°C kills 99% of mites, their eggs, bacteria and mould spores on direct contact. The industrial suction then removes all this material from the deep layers of the fabric in a single pass. For allergy sufferers and families with asthma, we recommend cleaning every 6 months. Many clients report a noticeable reduction in morning sneezing and irritated eyes within 1–2 weeks after a deep clean.

Question 5

How long does the cleaning take and when can I use the sofa or mattress again?

Accepted Answer

A complete visit takes 60–90 minutes from arrival to pack-up. The breakdown: 5 minutes for inspection and fabric testing, 10 minutes for stain pre-treatment with specialist enzyme solutions, 30–40 minutes of hot water extraction at 70°C with simultaneous industrial suction, and 15 minutes of express drying with an industrial turbofan included in every visit. After we leave, the sofa continues drying naturally for 4–6 hours — you can sit on it after about 1–2 hours with a clean towel placed over it. Mattresses dry faster and are typically sleep-ready the same evening, 2–3 hours after cleaning. Good room ventilation cuts drying time significantly. We always inspect the result together with you before packing our equipment — you approve before we accept payment.

Question 6

What is your guarantee — what happens if I'm not satisfied with the result?

Accepted Answer

Our guarantee works like this: before we pack up our equipment, we inspect the result together with you. If you are not satisfied with the cleaning quality for any reason — you pay nothing. No awkward conversation, no partial charge, no invoice. We also offer a free return visit if a specific stain reappears after drying — this occasionally happens with very deep or very old contamination where a second pass resolves the issue completely. In practice, our 4.93/5 rating from 1,648 verified reviews on Facebook, Google and Altegio confirms this situation is rare. But the policy exists precisely because we stand behind the quality of every visit, regardless of how challenging the job turns out to be. We never pressure clients to accept a result they are not fully satisfied with.

Question 7

What makes BestClean different from other sofa cleaning companies in Riga?

Accepted Answer

Four concrete differences. First, equipment: we use Italian Santoemma TWISTER hot water extraction at 70°C — the only company in Latvia operating this machine. It is 10× more powerful than the household-grade extractors used by most competitors. Second, chemistry: only Chemspec USA professional eco-chemistry — the same product line approved for medical facilities and children's hospitals. No generic solvents or cheap alternatives. Third, drying: an industrial turbofan is included in every visit at no extra charge. Most competitors leave your sofa wet for 12–24 hours — ours is ready in 4–6 hours. Fourth, risk: you pay only after approving the result. If unsatisfied — zero charge. This combination of Italian equipment, USA chemistry, same-day drying and risk-free payment is unique in Riga. Our 4.93/5 rating from 1,648 verified reviews confirms it matters in practice.
